Paid Media Intern

About the role

LSG, an impact agency specializing in brand building, corporate reputation management and public affairs, is looking for a Paid Media intern. The internship runs from January 5 to May 14, with up to 30 hours per week of hands-on experience in the firm's paid media practice, working across a diverse portfolio of clients and issues. Interns work in person at the downtown DC office.

Key responsibilities

• Draft digital advertising campaigns in self-serve ad platforms such as Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and Campaign Manager 360
• Request draft IO files for managed service platforms
• Learn how to track vendor payments
• Upload digital assets to self-serve ad platforms and update and maintain them as needed
• Pace active campaigns so spending stays within approved budgets
• Perform research and other administrative duties as necessary

Required profile

• College junior or senior, recent graduate or graduate student interested in political science, communications, marketing, public policy or related fields
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to anticipate, communicate and solve practical problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to learn; prior agency experience in communications, public affairs, marketing or political campaign/government work preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Meta, Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360) preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of media planning preferred but not required

• Pay of $23 per hour
• Up to 30 hours per week of hands-on paid media experience
