PACU RN Contract - Day Shift

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse for a flexible 12-week day-shift contract in Denver, Colorado. The nurse delivers coordinated nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit and manages the day-to-day clinical activities of the unit. The contract is paid $80 per hour, 40 hours per week, 0900-1930, with on-call requirements of 3-4 shifts every 6 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients and supervise the clinical activities of the unit
• Supervise and direct nursing personnel at all levels using professional and supervisory judgment
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Collect and document patient data and develop evidence-based, individualized plans of care
• Implement interventions safely and timely, and follow hospital policy for admission, discharge and transfer

Required profile

• 2+ years of PACU nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required; TNCC certification preferred

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs
