Packaging Operator (Day and Night Shift)

About the role
Barilla is looking for Packaging Operators to join its pasta packaging team in Ames, Iowa. During each shift, operators load packaging materials onto the packaging machines, perform quality checks and make mechanical adjustments as needed. They work only half the days in a month on a flexible 2-2-3 shift pattern and must be available every other weekend.
Pay and schedule
- Day shift: $24.84
- Night shift: $27.32 (includes a 10% shift differential)
Required profile
- Previous work experience in production or food manufacturing
- General working knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and supporting programs such as cleaning, sanitation and pest management is a plus
