Packaged Equipment Engineer – Level 3

About the role

Alphanumeric is seeking a Packaged Equipment Engineer – Level 3 to support a leading sustainable power‑generation client in Lake Mary, FL. The role focuses on mechanical systems design, vendor integration, and continuous improvement of high‑impact equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret P&IDs, drawings and technical documents to define system requirements and develop detailed engineering calculations.
• Prepare inquiry and purchase specifications, review vendor designs for code and contract compliance, and specify testing requirements.
• Manage vendor qualification, provide technical recommendations, and maintain regular supplier communication.
• Develop and track engineering schedules, respond to technical inquiries, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Lead creation of standard drawings, identify cost‑reduction opportunities, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.

Required profile

• Seasoned mechanical systems engineer with experience in packaged equipment such as heat exchangers, compressors, and HVAC systems.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams and communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
