Overnight Stocking Manager - New Supercenter, Glen Carbon

About the role

Meijer is preparing to open its newest supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL, serving the greater St. Louis metro area in spring 2027. It is looking for an Overnight Stocking Manager who will engage the team members in their span of care, drive recognition, feedback, coaching, performance management, training, development and succession planning, and direct Leads and Team Leaders. The role is accountable for area operations and financials, including shrink, productivity, safety, scheduling and forecasting staffing needs, as well as team member and customer conflict resolution. Candidates must be able to travel for training until the store opens.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure team members receive appropriate onboarding, training, development, coaching and feedback.
• Identify talent, hold career discussions and build a diversified pipeline for team member and leadership roles.
• Hold candid conversations so Meijer standards are upheld and team members can grow within the organization.
• Oversight of area operations and financial results, including budget line items in the P&L, to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drive safety and compliance, store condition management and adherence to compliance procedures.
• Make sure Team Leaders and Leads guide team members, assign daily work and cover training needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with team members.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and make informed decisions.
• Ability to lead an organization that works safely at all times.
• Strong business acumen, understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising, and commitment to an inclusive environment.

• Pay range of $48,250 to $75,750, with possible incentive bonuses depending on performance.
