Overnight Stocking Manager - New Supercenter, Glen Carbon, IL

About the role

Meijer is preparing to open its newest supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL, serving the greater St. Louis metro area in spring 2027. It is looking for an Overnight Stocking Manager to lead the overnight shift team, drive recognition, feedback, coaching, performance management, training, development and succession planning, and direct Leads and Team Leaders. The manager is accountable for area operations and financials, including shrink, productivity, safety, scheduling and forecasting staffing needs, and for resolving team member and customer conflicts. Travel for training until the store opens is required.

Key responsibilities

• Engage team members in the span of care with onboarding, training, development, coaching and feedback.
• Identify talent and hold career conversations to build a diversified pipeline for team member and leadership roles.
• Hold candid discussions so Meijer standards are upheld and team members can grow within the organization.
• Oversight of area operations and financial results, including budget line items in the P&L, to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drive safety and compliance, store condition management and adherence to compliance procedures.
• Ensure Team Leaders and Leads assign daily work and training needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with team members.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and to lead a safe workplace.

• Pay range of $48,250 to $75,750, with possible incentive bonuses.
