Overnight Event Security

About the role

Allied Universal Event Services, a leader in crowd management and event staffing, is hiring for overnight event security shifts in Bloomington, Indiana, with multiple openings. The position suits people who need extra income on their own schedule and can work evenings and weekends; it is open to candidates from surrounding cities. No experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Allow appropriate entry into each venue, collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic coming in and out of the venue.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
• Greet guests warmly at the entrance, aisles, concourses or other locations and thank them sincerely when encounters end.
• Provide helpful directions and suggestions that enhance guests' entertainment experience, with a friendly tone and natural speaking voice.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Professional, articulate, with good independent judgment and discretion.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.
