Outside Sales Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a road‑warrior sales professional passionate about native plants to grow our customer base across the Midwest. You will represent Pizzo Native Plant Nursery’s high‑quality Deeply Rooted™ plugs to landscape architects, contractors, designers and other nurseries.

Key responsibilities

• Build and expand relationships with landscape architects, contractors, designers, restoration firms, brokers and growers.
• Travel extensively across the Midwest (and beyond) to meet customers face‑to‑face and virtually.
• Accurately forecast sales, manage a clean pipeline and communicate progress.
• Represent a product that delivers real ecological results, avoiding green‑washing.

Required profile

• Existing, verifiable relationships in landscape architecture, contracting or nursery trades.
• Hunter mentality: opens doors, follows through and closes business.
• Professional integrity and ownership of results.
• Passion for native plants and willingness to learn ecological design.

Required skills

• Proven outside sales experience in the green industry (landscape architecture, contracting, nursery wholesale or related).
• Strong industry contacts and solid employment references.
