Outside Sales Representative - San Antonio

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) in San Antonio. The OSR drives incremental sales growth and profitability through account relationships, focusing on complex business expansion and new business development. They monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers and meet or exceed sales and margin targets by working with the Pro Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate net-new sales relationships using local community events to promote the Pro brand and expand complex business
• Sell all products and services, including commercial credit, volume pricing, delivery, will-call pickup and online ordering
• Meet individual revenue targets and quotas, partnering with the Inside Sales Support Representative on quoting, ordering and transactions
• Hold in-person sales appointments and prospect new business from leads provided internally and from existing customers, stores and the community
• Use Salesforce to plan calls, manage customer communications and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
• Take part in district and regional meetings and report weekly activities to the Pro Sales Manager

Required profile

• Able to work in the United States; must be 18 or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: 5 years of professional experience, including 2 years in account or sales management and 2+ years in home improvement or home building
• Preferred: strong network-building, leadership, negotiation and communication skills, and deep knowledge of Pro customer needs

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
• Use of Salesforce for sales planning and pipeline management

Travel is typically required 20% to 50% of the time, and the role involves occasional lifting of moderately heavy items and exposure to temperature extremes, noise and fumes.
