Field Measure Representative, Flooring

About the role

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) is a part-time, field-based role based in Dallas, Texas and surrounding areas. Working independently in a traveling capacity, the associate performs in-home flooring measurement appointments, supports sales and product inquiries, takes measurements and coordinates installations within the Measurement Services center Field Services Organization. The position reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily routes of pre-assigned measure appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible (about 60% of time).
• Ask customers open-ended questions about their projects and product needs, describe product features and benefits, and demonstrate product and services knowledge (about 35% of time).
• Identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs.
• Provide accurate measurements, calculations, quote review and presentation to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors and managers on other work activities (about 4% of time).
• Follow policies and procedures and adhere to the work schedule (about 1% of time).

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Reliable transportation; travel between locations is required.
• Ability to stand or walk continuously and to lift or carry material of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
