Outside Sales Representative

About the role

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow revenue by selling specialty food products to restaurants, caterers, hotels and retail establishments. This role is the face of the company, delivering outstanding service and building lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Generate sales by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
• Travel throughout an assigned territory to call on prospects and existing customers, present samples or catalogs, and secure orders.
• Quote prices, prepare contracts, manage delivery timelines and collect payments.
• Maintain detailed records of transactions, expense reports and account receivables.
• Collaborate with inside sales to keep account information up‑to‑date and track inventory levels.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in restaurant, food or professional catering sales (or experience as a chef).
• High energy, enthusiastic, team‑player with a positive attitude.
• College degree desired but not required; must live within commuting distance to the sales area and have reliable transportation.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
