Orthopedic Sales Representative (Akron)

About the role

Arthrex Cleveland, an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products, is hiring a Sales Representative for the Akron area. The role is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas, building and maintaining customer relations through constant communication and in-person appointments, and keeping expert knowledge of the product portfolio. The representative consults surgeons in the operating room about Arthrex products and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory by building strong business relationships and implementing sales strategies.
• Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, portfolio changes and educational programs.
• Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions.
• Address problems that arise at the account.
• Collect competitive data and stay current on industry, customer and competitor trends.
• Attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside regular business hours as required.
• Receive coaching, training or mentoring from the sales manager and share knowledge with peers.
• Maintain training in sales skills, product features and benefits, and uphold compliance and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic or related experience; sports experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
• Comfortable in open operating room environments.
• Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, operating room protocols and the ability to learn technical information, anatomy and indications.
• Prior sales experience is a plus.
• Current driver's license and access to your own transportation.
