About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the OR Trauma team on the night shift at the Jefferson Highway location. This full‑time position provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced surgical environment without on‑call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess patient learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
Delegate, coordinate, and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision; leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

Required skills

Current RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Basic computer proficiency.
