OR Nurse Manager - Specialty ORs

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time, day-shift OR Nurse Manager for specialty operating rooms in Denver, Colorado. The manager oversees staff performance, staffing, hiring, orientation and discipline, and leads quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. The pay range is $97,968 to $182,228.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staffing, hiring, orientation and discipline, and foster an inclusive work environment
• Manage budgets and resources, maintain appropriate staffing and understand healthcare finance
• Lead performance and quality improvement initiatives, implement evidence-based practice changes and ensure compliance with professional standards and hospital policies
• Provide leadership and mentorship, support staff development and ensure high-quality clinical care
• Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and build positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors and other departments
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and process improvement initiatives with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate and mentor staff so they follow clinical practice models and evidence-based practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (Master's preferred)
• 2+ years of related experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance
• Knowledge of outpatient hospital services and insurance authorization
• Ability to work independently and in a team, and to adapt to changing patient flow schedules
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on the unit or state
