Operator II – Production Technical Operations (Night Shift)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Operator II to join the Production Technical Operations team in the Phaco Secondaries department. This night‑shift position (Sunday‑Thursday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM EST) supports the manufacturing of eye‑care products for a global market.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment according to specifications and schedules.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections, monitor quality, and adjust equipment to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and complete batch documentation.
• Handle resources and work orders to meet volume, cost, waste, and quality targets.
• Follow GxP regulations, SOPs, and safety guidelines in a computerized manufacturing environment.
• Participate in process‑improvement projects to enhance quality, cost, and scheduling.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English.
• Prior experience as a machine operator is preferred.
