Operations Technician – Cell Culture & Packaging

About the role

Join MSD's Animal Health manufacturing team in Millsboro, DE, as an Operations Technician. You will work on cutting‑edge cell culture, filling, and packaging processes that support the production of vaccines and veterinary pharmaceuticals. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and set up a variety of manufacturing equipment throughout the production cycle, including aseptic and non‑aseptic procedures.
• Perform manual and automated operations such as media preparation, antigen inoculation, tissue culture harvest, filling, labeling, capping, packaging, and inspection of products.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in compliance with GMP and SOPs.
• Identify and report compliance, safety, environmental, and process deviations, and assist with hazardous waste management when trained.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail with solid documentation skills.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment after training and pass a Physical Abilities Test.
• Basic math, reading, and computer proficiency.
