Operations Specialist - Vehicle Lot & Inventory

About the role

Ever is building an AI-native auto retail platform focused on electric vehicles, with its operations team based in San Diego. This full-time Operations Specialist position is on-site only, with no remote or hybrid arrangements, and requires availability during high-volume periods, weekends and month-end close.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain organized vehicle queues across work-in-progress and finished goods stages, optimize lot space use and track unit status and location.
• Keep inventory at sellable quality through regular inspections, maintain vehicle charge levels per SOPs, and flag units needing reconditioning or escalation.
• Keep keys accounted for to each unit, run regular lot audits and reconcile physical inventory against system records.
• Wash, clean and prepare vehicles for customer deliveries, test drives and onsite inventory.
• Manage inbound and outbound unit flow with carriers and shipping partners, execute vehicle ingress and egress, and drive vehicles between lots, showrooms, third-party servicers and chargers.

Required profile

• Experience in vehicle logistics, fleet operations, auto reconditioning or a related field.
• Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure and vehicle readiness standards preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; able to work outdoors in variable weather and perform physical tasks.
• Attention to detail, strong communication, and comfort handling vehicles in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel and reach, and to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Required skills

• Comfort with lot operations software, inventory tools or mobile-based tracking systems.
