MedTech Field Inventory Associate

About the role

The MedTech Healthcare Collection Associate confirms and collects medical equipment inventory in hospitals, working with surgical, non-invasive and orthopedic equipment in areas such as Operating Rooms and Inventory Departments. It is a part-time, local or regional assignment (typically within 2-3 hours of home) of 15-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with possible occasional overnight trips. Travel and mileage are paid.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned hospitals to collect orthopedic inventory boxes
• Prepare boxes with prepaid shipping labels and ship products to the client manufacturing plant
• Document and log daily collection totals
• Notify the local sales team of shipping supply needs
• Meet client requirements that all on-site personnel be fully vaccinated

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and to clear hospital vendor credentialing, including proof of vaccination status
• Preferred: healthcare, general labor, warehouse or customer service experience (training is provided)

Required skills

• Comfortable with basic software programs and the Microsoft operating system
• Customer service skills and attention to detail

Credentialing and vaccination

Entry into healthcare facilities requires completing the facility's credentialing process, which typically includes up-to-date vaccines (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Tdap, hepatitis B, influenza, COVID-19) and a negative TB test. Accommodations may be considered but the client's requirements can override them.

Compensation

Base pay range of $25.50-$29 per hour, depending on qualifications, location and schedule. The position is not eligible for medical benefits.
