Operations Project Manager

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking an Operations Project Manager to develop and execute production planning strategies that meet customer demand while respecting capacity constraints. The role is based in Boulder, CO and works closely with Production, Customer Service, and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams, monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Engage stakeholders to define requirements, communicate status, and resolve conflicts.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost‑control measures.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and conduct regular reviews.
• Mentor junior project managers and promote a collaborative team environment.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and capture lessons learned after project completion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 8‑10 years of project management experience in manufacturing, with 3‑5 years in a senior role.
• Proven track record of delivering large, complex projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.

Required skills

• Project management software proficiency.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt, Black Belt).
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Agile project management practices (preferred).
