Operations Project Analyst

About the role

Howden is launching its US retail platform and is hiring an Operations Project Analyst to support the planning, execution and governance of programs and projects across the US Retail business. The role sits within the PMO and works closely with Program Managers so that initiatives are delivered with rigor, clarity and strong business insight.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to track workstream progress, dependencies, risks and issues, and coordinate with stakeholders on updates, action items and meeting follow-up
• Support change management, including stakeholder impact assessments, communication planning and adoption tracking
• Maintain program documentation such as project plans, status reports, RAID logs and decision logs
• Support UAT planning and execution with business teams and technology partners
• Maintain project documentation in PMO tools (e.g. Monday.com) and support portfolio-level reporting on status, risks and milestones
• Contribute to benefits tracking and lessons learned, and help develop PMO templates, tools and SOPs
• Conduct current-state analysis and gap assessments, and support business case and initiative intake documentation
• Elicit and document business requirements, and develop functional specifications, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria

Required profile

• 3-6 years of experience in a project analyst or project delivery role, preferably in insurance brokerage or a related financial services environment
• Experience developing business cases, decision materials or executive-ready communications
• Experience supporting technology implementations or business transformation programs
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems or a related field

Required skills

• Familiarity with Agile, waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologies
• Proficiency with project management and portfolio tools (e.g. Monday.com)
• CBAP, PMI-PBA or equivalent business analysis certification is a plus

• Expected base salary of $75,000-$125,000, depending on experience and location; discretionary bonus available
