Operations Manager - Radio Programming

About the role

iHeartMedia Markets is seeking an Operations Manager in Brunswick, GA to lead strategy, raise performance and inspire high-impact teams. The role drives ratings growth across broadcast, digital and live events while keeping quality standards high and protecting station licenses. It works closely with the Market President and the VP of Sales to grow revenue, strengthen brand identity and deliver great audience experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution for all programming
• Identify, develop, coach and manage Promotions staff, Digital leads and On-Air Talent
• Analyze ratings and market research to grow audience, spot risks and opportunities and improve ratings performance
• Monitor competition and develop strategies to outperform the market
• Partner with Air Talent, Promotions and Digital teams to strengthen engagement and brand presence across broadcast, digital and live events
• Support investment in original digital content and the design and execution of live events
• Oversee day-to-day programming operations, including productivity, costs, technology, production capabilities and FCC compliance
• Provide visible leadership, clear communication and development opportunities for direct reports, and hold the team accountable to business metrics aligned with sales efforts
• Collaborate with central programming resources and support the Market President and VP of Sales, including joining sales calls

Required profile

• Experience in programming and digital brand management
• Understanding of markets, listeners and competitors, and of industry trends and revenue drivers
• Ability to create and develop a brand that engages audiences
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations
