About the role
The Operations Manager will oversee front‑of‑house operations at Hotel Indigo Chicago Vernon Hills, including breakfast service, banquets, catering functions, and front office, ensuring guest service and sustainability standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand and hotel standards.
- Maintain quality standards of complimentary food service stations.
- Attend weekly meetings to ensure banquet event details align with client requests.
- Assist in creating Front Office schedules and manage labor and food cost expenses.
- Receive and inspect food orders from third‑party catering companies.
- Work shifts crossing from Breakfast Attendant to Guest Service Agent and act as Manager on Duty when needed.
- Develop action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies.
- Follow HHM’s EarthView sustainability guidelines and OSHA safety standards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience in hospitality operations.
