About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking an Operations Assistant to support day‑to‑day business operations for its Florida offices. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Operations, you will help manage fleet, IT, vendor procurement, inventory and facility improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Operations team with fleet management, vendor relations and safety/security tasks.
- Process office expenses, troubleshoot IT equipment/services, and maintain office equipment inventory.
- Support HR in equipment dispersal and onboarding activities.
- Provide front‑desk coverage to serve clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate facility renovations, moves and related projects.
- Manage office supplies, process requests and track inventory.
- Handle contributions in kind inbounding, outbounding and general tracking.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience preferred.
- Fluent English communication, both spoken and written.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross‑cultural environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with databases (a plus).
