Operational Support Engineer

About the role

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons company, seeks an Operational Support Engineer to provide mission‑focused technical and operational support for customer environments, ensuring systems and networks remain functional, secure, and optimized for real‑time mission execution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct operational engineering support, respond to real‑time incidents, perform diagnostics, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with network, systems, and software engineers to maintain secure configurations and operational alignment.
• Maintain system and network documentation, including logs, runbooks, and after‑action reports.
• Assist in testing new software tools, mission applications, and site service updates.
• Perform tier‑3 troubleshooting to isolate and resolve hardware, software, or network issues.
• Develop and update SOPs, test guides, and operational turnover documentation.
• Participate in readiness reviews, after‑action briefings, and process improvement meetings.
• Support deployment, configuration, and connectivity of site services across virtualized and physical nodes.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• 6+ years of experience in systems, network, or operational engineering roles.
• Ability to travel <15% within the United States and work onsite five days a week.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualized environments.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting, log analysis, and operational validation techniques.
• Familiarity with cyber‑defense software and scripting or programming languages.
