Open Rank Faculty Position in School Psychology

About the role

The Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University seeks an open‑rank tenure‑track faculty member for its School Psychology program. The nine‑month position begins August 15, 2027 and supports research, teaching, and service within an APA‑accredited, NASP‑approved Ph.D. program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an active research program, pursue external funding, and build community partnerships.
• Advise and mentor doctoral students, chair thesis/dissertation committees, and supervise practicum experiences.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses and contribute to departmental and university service missions.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in School Psychology or a closely related field from an APA‑accredited program by August 15, 2027.
• License or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in Louisiana.
• Demonstrated potential for a strong research agenda and effective graduate mentorship.

Required skills

• Ability to secure extramural research funding.
• Experience with collaborative, ecological, and culturally responsive approaches in school psychology.
