About the role

Georgia Tech is seeking a permanent teaching faculty member at the Academic Professional or Senior Academic Professional level in the School of Chemistry & Biochemistry. The position focuses on undergraduate and graduate instruction, curriculum development, and contribution to the school’s research and service missions.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry, biochemistry, and related subjects.
• Develop and update curricula, laboratory manuals, and instructional materials.
• Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic and professional development.
• Participate in departmental service activities, committees, and outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty on research projects and secure external funding where applicable.
• Maintain laboratory safety standards and ensure compliance with institutional policies.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level.
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and research environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
