Onsite Support Specialist (On Call / Per Diem / As Needed)

About the role

AMN Healthcare is hiring a Temporary Onsite Support Specialist for as-needed, assignment-based work similar to per diem or on-call roles. The specialist supports deployed healthcare professionals by coordinating operational support and providing a high level of customer service during an assignment. Opportunities depend on labor disruption activity, and hours or assignments are not guaranteed.

Key responsibilities

• Housing support: assist with clinician hotel assignments and check-ins, coordinate with hotel partners, and reconcile hotel folios and lodging documents.
• Transportation support: coordinate transport logistics, arrivals and departures, track activity with AMN technology platforms, and liaise with vendors and drivers.
• Travel support: coordinate air travel, rental vehicles and other arrangements, respond to travel disruptions and share updates.
• Finance and reconciliation: collect invoices and receipts, maintain records, reconcile event costs and support reporting and audits.
• Wayfinder and operations: act as a first point of contact for arriving clinicians, guide them on event logistics, direct traffic flow and support operational stations in the command center.
• General event support: handle requests, escalate issues, support teammates across shifting needs and complete special projects.

Required profile

• HS diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred.
• At least 2 years in a fast-paced, externally facing customer support department, preferably in travel, customer service or sales operations.
• Ability to work offsite and travel, and to use standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Customer service, attention to detail, problem solving, comfort under pressure and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology tools.

What we offer

• Pay of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour when on assignment, depending on experience, training, education and location.
