Oncology Care Coordinator

About the role

The Oncology Care Coordinator joins Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital to guide cancer patients through their treatment journey. This full‑time, day‑shift position works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of diagnostics, therapies, and follow‑up care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary clinic programs, schedule diagnostic work‑ups, and manage result reporting.
• Act as a “compass” for patients, collaborating with the Medical Director to navigate pre‑ and post‑operative care and ongoing therapies.
• Develop and lead patient and staff education programs, community events, and quality‑improvement projects.
• Serve as patient advocate, ensuring timely, compassionate, and competent care throughout the cancer continuum.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in Florida with a nursing diploma, ADN or BSN.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience, including at least two years in oncology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of a cancer‑specific certification or ongoing qualifying education within the facility’s accreditation cycle.

Required skills

• Knowledge of oncology prevention, diagnosis, disease process, and symptom management.
• Case management and program development experience.
• Proficiency in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and referrals.
• Ability to compile, analyze, and benchmark quality‑improvement data.
