OMC Core Lab Supervisor

About the role

The OMC Core Lab Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation, technical oversight, and personnel management of a high‑complexity laboratory section. The role ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards while maintaining a patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Supervise, train, and develop laboratory staff, overseeing performance improvement and quality‑control programs.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility and participation in PALM and department projects.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in high‑complexity testing under a qualified Medical Director.
• Current state license (if applicable) and ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Technician, or Technologist.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stress in a professional environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and laboratory information systems.
• Computer dexterity for data entry, retrieval, and operation of laboratory computer equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication for presenting information clearly.
• Analytical ability to prepare, interpret, and troubleshoot complex data and equipment.
