Occupational Therapist – Per Diem

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy services across multiple locations. The role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and helping patients achieve maximum independence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans using evidence‑based techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional mobility training, ADL training, and modalities.
• Perform patient assessments, reassessments, and modify care plans as needed while documenting progress according to regulatory standards.
• Communicate patient status and limitations to supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with less than 1 year of clinical experience.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire.

Required skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and evidence‑based interventions.
• Ability to travel to home‑care assignments and lift/carry up to 50 lb.
