About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in an inpatient Float Pool on a PRN basis. The role involves evaluating patients and delivering therapy programs based on physician orders, while collaborating with the care team to achieve patient‑specific goals.

Key responsibilities

Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
Monitor patient response to therapy, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes according to hospital standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.
Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and post‑acute care referrals.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
At least 1 year of licensed occupational therapy experience.
Current state occupational therapy license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for patient safety.
