About the role
3M is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join its team in Minnesota. The role involves delivering direct health care to employees, managing case and care plans, and supporting health promotion initiatives across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct care for work‑related injury and illness and refer to community health providers when needed.
- Lead case and care management, coordinating return‑to‑work and disability plans with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate medical surveillance and fitness‑for‑duty programs, ensuring proper follow‑up of results.
- Develop and deliver health and well‑being initiatives, including immunization programs for the plant population.
- Document medical encounters in designated systems while maintaining confidentiality in line with 3M and medical practice standards.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution (verified before start).
- At least two (2) years of clinical nursing experience in a private, public, government, or military setting.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Minnesota or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification, including AED use.
