Nursing Operations Manager (PRN)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a PRN Nursing Operations Manager to oversee quality patient care and administrative nursing decisions at South Pointe Hospital. This role ensures appropriate patient placement, manages patient flow, and supports staffing and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation, and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including admissions and transfers.
• Address significant patient issues, communicate with leaders, and adjust staffing to maintain equitable coverage.
• Manage patient experience across the organization to optimize resources and maintain a safe, efficient environment.
• Monitor the annual hospital operating budget, approve expenditures, and ensure compliance with budget guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum three years of experience in an acute care setting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of clinical standards and disease entities for patient placement.
• Ability to manage staffing adjustments and budgetary controls.
• Proficiency in handling patient admissions, transfers, and throughput processes.
