About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic’s Lutheran Hospital as a Nursing Department Assistant III on the Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery unit, providing essential support for patient daily living activities and unit maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with a wide variety of patient care tasks and collaborate with health‑care team members.
- Organize patient care assignments and ensure timely delivery of care.
- Document care provided in patient records and label specimens properly.
- Perform EKGs, monitor blood glucose levels, collect specimens, and document vital signs.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and equipment, and report any issues to the RN.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the new‑hire period.
- Basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Preferred: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification and prior nursing assistance experience.
Required skills
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) performance.
- Blood glucose monitoring.
- Specimen collection and proper labeling.
- Vital signs documentation.
