Nursing Assistant I – Preop/PACU – Outpatient Surgery Center

About the role

The Nursing Assistant I provides direct patient care in the Pre‑Op and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a state‑of‑the‑art outpatient surgery center. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses, you will help ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient experience for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist RN in implementing the nursing process and delivering direct patient care.
• Perform designated procedures correctly under RN direction.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Communicate patient information accurately and promptly to the care team.
• Provide age‑appropriate care following specific developmental guidelines.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of a State‑Approved Nurse Aide I course.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Ability to work a 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
