Nurse Practitioner – Substance Use Disorder Treatment

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with CRI‑Help consulting physicians to deliver comprehensive medical care and Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) to clients across our detox and treatment facilities. Working closely with the Director of Nursing, the role provides clinical oversight for detox, intake, and social services teams, ensuring safe and effective care throughout each client’s treatment episode.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and ongoing evaluation of clients’ medical, physical, and psychosocial status.
• Conduct physical examinations, preventative screenings, and diagnostic testing.
• Develop differential diagnoses and formulate treatment plans, including MAT eligibility.
• Educate clients on medication effects, side effects, benefits, risks, and alternative therapies.
• Obtain informed consent and prescribe MAT as appropriate.
• Document observations, interventions, care plans, referrals, and follow‑up in a timely manner.
• Maintain a minimum of 65% DMC billing productivity each month.

Required profile

• Advanced understanding of assessment and diagnosis of substance use and psychological disorders.
• Deep knowledge of withdrawal management protocols and related care.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clinical feedback.
• Commitment to accurate documentation and billing productivity standards.
