Nurse Manager - Pediatric Infusion Center and Hematology/Oncology Clinic

About the role

The Nurse Manager provides day‑to‑day leadership for the Pediatric Infusion Center and the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role ensures safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care while partnering with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice and delivery of care on the assigned unit, establishing clinical direction and maintaining quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with liaison departments to maintain patient care standards, resolve service delivery issues, and develop quality initiatives.
• Analyze staffing needs, manage personnel structure, supervise staff performance, and conduct hiring and termination processes.
• Oversee unit operations, budget monitoring, inventory management, and compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical research, evaluate new products, and support foundation research activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if working in a critical‑care area.
• Minimum three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Preferred: experience in hematology/oncology, chemotherapy, or highly acute patient populations; Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Required skills

• BSN and RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (when applicable).
• Clinical expertise in pediatric infusion, hematology, and oncology care.
