Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time day-shift Nurse Manager for its Labor & Delivery unit in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The manager leads performance and quality improvement, ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies, and provides strong leadership and mentorship to the nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support performance and quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based practice changes
• Manage staffing, hiring, orientation and discipline, and oversee staff performance
• Manage budgets and resources and understand healthcare finance
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and process improvement initiatives with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate and mentor staff, maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
• Foster patient, family, staff and physician satisfaction through effective communication with patients, families, staff, vendors and other departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• 2+ years of maternal-child care nursing practice experience (required)
• 1+ year of management experience preferred
• Certifications required: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and S.T.A.B.L.E.
