About the role

The Nurse Intern position provides direct and indirect patient care in a hospital setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. It is designed for RN students or recent graduates who are preparing for licensure.

Key responsibilities

Complete accurate patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and document outcomes in the EMR.
Respond to call lights, assist patients with ADLs, and support admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
Update nursing care plans per hospital protocol and collaborate with the supervising RN on patient condition changes.

Required profile

Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an approved pre‑licensure nursing program (Associate, Baccalaureate, or Diploma).
At least one completed hospital‑based clinical rotation or within 12 months of a first NCLEX‑RN attempt.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications, including EMR systems.
Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
