Nurse Educator 3 – Center of Clinical Excellence

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Center of Clinical Excellence is seeking a Nurse Educator 3 to design, deliver, and evaluate educational programs for nursing and clinical staff. This position plays a key role in bridging practice gaps, supporting competency, and fostering interprofessional learning.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, design, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate nursing education programs based on practice gaps, regulatory requirements, and learning needs.
• Develop activities that target specific knowledge, skill, or practice improvements.
• Collaborate with clinicians, leaders, educators, and unit management to provide continuing and interprofessional education.
• Partner with educators to create plans for proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Support ongoing assessment of licensed and non‑licensed staff competencies and address deficits.
• Design and evaluate orientation and onboarding programs for all healthcare personnel.
• Promote research, evidence‑based practice, and quality improvement initiatives through collaborative partnerships.
• Participate in planning, approval, and evaluation of continuing education events such as conferences and workshops.

Required profile

• Experience in assessing educational needs and developing nursing curricula.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and specialty standards.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement and evidence‑based practice.
