Nurse Aide / ALHS Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, seeks a Nurse Aide/ALHS Instructor to deliver classroom, lab, and clinical instruction for day, evening, and online programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide theory and practical instruction in accordance with academic state standards.
• Teach courses in classroom, lab, clinical, and field environments using current technology.
• Evaluate student progress, grade coursework promptly, and ensure safety and security in the discipline area.
• Develop curriculum, syllabi, lesson plans, and maintain accreditation documentation.
• Support program administration, including supply requests, budget preparation, recruitment, and committee service.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Registered Nursing or Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license.
• Train‑the‑Trainer certification and CPR Instructor certification.
• At least one year of verifiable in‑field experience within the past three years.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Knowledge of post‑secondary technical education mission and academic standards.
• Ability to prepare and deliver classroom, lab, and clinical content.
• Proficiency with computers and instructional software.
• Accurate grade‑keeping and assessment skills.
