Client Support Worker – Community Integration Home

About the role

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Client Support Worker to assist residents at a Community Integration Home in Douglasville. This full‑time, benefit‑eligible position involves providing daily living support, monitoring behavior, and fostering skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation.
• Observe, monitor, and document resident behavior and incidents.
• Provide training in personal, social, academic, and work skills, both one‑on‑one and in groups.
• Coordinate medical care, support individual service plans, and attend appointments as an advocate.
• Maintain records of resident progress and report changes to supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED and at least one year of experience providing direct care to individuals with special needs.
• Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive state‑owned vehicles for resident transportation.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, document observations, and perform basic first‑aid tasks.
