Nuclear Medicine Technologist I

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I, providing patient care using state‑of‑the‑art imaging equipment. You will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform imaging studies, and interact directly with in‑ and out‑patients.

Key responsibilities

• Elute 99mTc generators, prepare radiopharmaceutical kits, and perform quality control using aseptic technique.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals, verify patient and study information, and ensure safety during and after exams.
• Perform venipuncture, maintain competency, and assist with patient scheduling.
• Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly and annual quality control on dose calibrators, scintillation counters, thyroid probes and cameras.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS, process billing through RIS, and document all procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or graduate of an accredited allied‑health program.
• ARRT (R.T(N)) credential or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure, Basic Life Support certification.
• One year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.

• Operation of dose calibrators, scintillation well counters, thyroid probes, and scintillation cameras.
• Use of PACS, RIS and related imaging software.
