Non‑Registered Monitoring Technician – Night Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a dedicated Non‑Registered Monitoring Technician to join the Epilepsy Department on the Main Campus. This full‑time night‑shift position (7 PM – 7 AM) supports a high‑volume epilepsy program, providing critical data collection and patient monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and record data using closed‑circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Operate surface recording electrodes and maintain daily logs of patient status on computer systems.
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and equipment setup while adhering to infection‑control precautions.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient‑care field, or two years of direct patient‑care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of experience as a non‑registered EEG Technician, or completion of the first year of an associate’s program in Electroneurodiagnostics.

Required skills

• Use of electrophysiological recording instruments and surface recording electrodes.
• Operation of closed‑circuit audio/visual monitoring equipment.
• Basic computer data‑entry and log‑keeping skills.
• Ability to lift and transport items up to 75 lb and assist with patient positioning.
