About the role

The Non Registered Monitoring Technician works night shifts in the Epilepsy Department of Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus, supporting EEG and other neurodiagnostic services for patients with complex neurological disorders.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather data using closed‑circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments.
  • Utilize surface recording electrodes and maintain daily logs of patients' status.
  • Perform record‑keeping using computer systems and ensure accurate documentation.

Required profile

  • Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related field, or two years of patient care experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year experience as a Non‑Registered EEG Technician or completion of the first year of an Associate's program.
  • Ability to obtain ABRET Registered EEG Technologist credential within two years of hire.

Required skills

  • EEG and electrophysiological recording instrumentation.
  • Computer data entry and log maintenance.
  • Physical ability to assist with patient positioning and transport.
