Nocturnist Hospitalist – Night Shift (7pm-7am)

About the role

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a board‑certified Family or Internal Medicine physician to join its nocturnist hospitalist team. The position is a clinical‑only role within an existing inpatient practice, working night shifts on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care during night shifts (7 pm – 7 am) with an average census of 18 patients per physician.
• Manage patients in an open ICU with specialist support and perform optional procedures as needed.
• Apply evidence‑based, patient‑centered medicine in collaboration with the Allopathic Family Medicine residency program.
• Document care, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and ensure smooth hand‑offs to daytime teams.

Required profile

• Board‑certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Experience in hospitalist medicine.
• Strong communication skills and alignment with AdventHealth’s mission.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred (not required).
• Eligibility to work in the United States (J‑1 or H‑1 not accepted).
