Night Shift Critical Care RN Supervisor – Full Time

About the role

The Critical Care RN Supervisor provides direct, hands‑on care for critically ill patients during night shifts while overseeing a team of nurses and technicians. This role combines patient care with leadership responsibilities to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver life‑saving treatment for critically ill or injured patients in pre‑ and postoperative settings.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate assigned nursing staff and patient care technicians.
• Coordinate patient care activities, manage staffing and supplies, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Resolve conflicts on the unit and collaborate with unit leadership and quality/safety teams.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN (required for Ochsner Magnet facilities).
• At least 1 year of RN experience (or 2 years LPN experience) in an acute care setting.
• Current state RN license and Basic Life Support certification.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
