NICU RN Nights - 36-Hour Contract

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Night Shift NICU Registered Nurse for a 36-hour-per-week contract assignment in Parker, Colorado. The pay is $84 per hour, and flexible contract assignments are available, including travel assignments handled directly with AdventHealth with no third-party agency.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Implement interventions safely and document them, and collect and document patient health data
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and follow hospital policy for admission, discharge and transfer
• Educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans
• Participate in peer interviewing and review, and act as a patient advocate
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, follow CDC isolation guidelines and use PPE correctly
• Ensure safe handoff communication and proper use of medical supplies and equipment

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing)
• BLS/CPR certification required; TNCC certification preferred
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on the unit or state

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs
