About the role
The NextJS Developer will design, develop, document, and maintain front‑end software solutions for the UMGC Student Portal team. This role works in an agile environment to deliver an innovative user experience.
Key responsibilities
- Develop high‑quality software solutions based on requirements.
- Work with Next.js, React, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
- Collaborate with the Portal team to estimate, plan, and deliver user stories, bug fixes and tasks within sprints.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
- Perform code, environment, and design reviews.
- Manage CI/CD deployment processes and troubleshoot incidents.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in software development, computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and propose solutions.
- Experience in an agile development environment.
