New Graduate Mechanical Engineer – 2027 Cohort

About the role

Radiant is developing portable nuclear microreactors and seeks a new‑graduate mechanical engineer to join the team. You will work on the design, analysis, and testing of the Kaleidos microreactor from concept through validation.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to design, analysis, and testing of the microreactor system.
• Own deliverables from concept through build and validation with senior‑engineer guidance.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Support system‑level testing, troubleshooting, and iterative design improvements.
• Communicate results via design reviews, technical reports, and presentations.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Graduating December 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, statics, dynamics, and strength of materials.
• Hands‑on experience through projects, research, labs, or internships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Experience using engineering analysis software.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation.
